School Meals
We pride ourselves in supplying our children with excellent food. We feel that it is one of the most important parts of a child's life - to eat properly.
Eating a healthy diet enables a child to live life to the full and gives them a better performance all round, specifically helping with their concentration levels- which in turn affects achievement.
So, we encourage all of our children to have a school dinner and we are glad to have such a high uptake of school dinners at our school.
Lunch Information
School dinners are free for children in Foundation Stage, Year 1 and Year 2 due to the Universal Infant Free School Meals (UIFSM) funding the school receives from the government.
School dinners cost just £1.50 per child, per day for Key Stage 2.
If your child is eligible for a Free School Meal (FSM) this cost will be subsidised by the government and there will be no cost for the parent/carer of the eligible child. A copy of the application form is attached a the bottom of this page.
School dinners are cooked on site and consist of a nutritious main course, pudding and a drink. A copy of the menu is sent home on a regular basis so that children and parents can choose meals together.
A copy of the school menu is available by request to the school office. Alternatively, please see a copy of the school menu on the attachment below.
Children may choose to bring packed lunches to school. In accordance with our policies on being a “healthy” school we ask that packed lunches are of a balanced healthy design.
We also ask that they do not contain glass bottles, fizzy drinks, sweets or chocolate bars.
